About the house

Shangri-la is a stylish re-imagining of the traditional wood-built coastal chalet, designed by award-winning Mole Architects. It was built to PassivHaus standards, the most demanding energy efficiency standard

Open plan living

The large open plan living, dining and kitchen area is the perfect place for bringing people together, either families or groups of friends. Washed plywood walls, high vaulted ceilings and large areas of glazing give a feeling of space and light. The kitchen has Miele appliances and just about everything you could possibly need.

Bedrooms

Shangri-la sleeps up to 6, plus a baby in a cot. There are 2 bedrooms with king size beds and one with twin beds. The same simple palette is continued: light washed plywood walls with carefully chosen lighting and use of vibrant colours on fittings.

Some quiet time…

Sometimes you just want a bit of space to yourself. We thought of that and there is a cosy reading room/snug. It also has a TV.
